FitHome Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
FitHome is a home-workout app that works entirely on your device. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: we don't collect it.
What FitHome stores, and where
FitHome keeps the following only on your device, in the app's private storage:
- your workout history, custom workouts and plan edits;
- body weight and height entries you type in, and body measurements;
- strength sets, cardio blocks (time, optional distance, laps) and the plans you build;
- optionally, your year of birth and sex, used only for the body-composition and energy estimates on the Body tab;
- optionally, how long and how well you slept (hours and a 1-5 rating you type), used only for today's readiness;
- optionally, the dates of your fasting days and the meal times you type (suhoor and iftar), used only to move reminders and lighten targets;
- your Weekly Coach Review decisions (accepted or "not now"), strength-set effort (RPE or reps in reserve, mini-sets) and the load of weighted walks;
- plans you paste into "Paste a plan" are turned into workouts or routines on the device and not kept as text;
- the list of songs or the folder you pick for workout music (the app reads only those files, with the access you grant in the system picker);
- settings (language, theme, goals, reminder time);
- step counts read from your phone's step counter, if you allow it;
- daily local backup snapshots (the last 7), inside the app's private storage;
- the undo history (the last 50 deletions, resets and imports), so you can bring them back;
- separate data for each local profile you create (an optional PIN is stored only as a salted hash).
- your skill-ladder and rep-ladder progress, Steady feet progress, and fitness-test results you take (chair stand, balance, timed up and go, step-test pulse);
- optionally, your own photo, GIF or short clip on a move ("My demo"): a copy is kept in the app's private storage; it is included in a backup only if it is encrypted and you turned on taking photos along;
- optionally, the names of guests you train with in a group session and who attended (they never leave the device unless you export the list or a backup yourself; such files can contain those names);
- optionally, your sport days and event dates (used for training advice; event dates are included in the calendar file you export);
- yoga flows you build, and the phone counter's calibration. Counting reps with the phone uses the motion and proximity sensors only while a set runs; no permission is needed and no sensor data is stored.
FitHome has no account system and no servers, and the app has no internet permission: it cannot send anything anywhere. Settings → Privacy & data shows every permission, what is stored and how much.
Permissions
- Physical activity (Android 10+): to read the phone's step counter. Optional; steps stay on the device.
- Notifications: workout session controls, reminders, badges and the optional Today summary.
- Exact alarms: so workout timers end on time (optional; Android may delay timers without it).
- Foreground service (health): keeps a running workout going while the screen is off.
- Storage (Android 5.0 and older only): to save exports and folder backups you ask for into the Download folder.
- Calendar (optional, off by default): only if you turn on calendar sync, to add your sessions to a local
"FitHome" calendar on the device.
- Camera (optional, off by default): only for Mirror mode in the workout player, asked the first time you turn
the mirror on. It shows a live, mirrored view of yourself next to the exercise animation. Nothing is recorded, saved, analysed or sent; the camera stops whenever the player is paused or leaves the screen. Deny it and everything else works as before.
- Vibration, run at startup, home-screen shortcuts: haptic cues, re-arming reminders after a restart,
and pinning a workout on older launchers.
Export and backup
"Export everything", open-format exports (CSV, JSON, calendar, TCX and FIT activity files) and the monthly PDF report write a file to a location or app you choose. Folder backups go to a folder you pick; if another app on your device (for example a cloud drive) syncs that folder, that app's own policy applies. "Send to another device" shares one file encrypted with your passphrase. Passphrases are used on the device only (AES-GCM); a saved backup passphrase is protected by the Android Keystore and never leaves the device. Android's own backup may include FitHome's data in your device backup if you have it turned on; you can exclude FitHome in Privacy & data. Device-specific data and the saved passphrase are never included.
Deleting your data
Privacy & data → Delete everything removes the profile's data from the device permanently (after you type a confirmation word). Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Purchases
FitHome is a paid download from Google Play, handled entirely by Google Play under Google's privacy policy. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions or ads.
Children
FitHome is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal data.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version will be published at the same address with a new date. Questions: the developer contact on this app's Google Play listing.
